In most cases, spider veins are permanently removed after laser resurfacing. The legs look smoother and younger almost instantly.

What are the risks of spider vein treatment?

Changes in pigmentation may occur and the new skin is typically lighter and more sensitive. Gentle cleansing and sun block should be used after laser resurfacing. Redness, swelling and inflammation can occur as the damaged cells heal. In rare cases, there is a chance of burns and scarring if the proper technique is not used.
